I love giveaways and thought it might be fun to do one of my own. I thought it should be uniquely British and what better than a lovely Cath Kidston Apron. I LOVE her dish towels, oven gloves and aprons and wanted a chance to hand on this gorgeous one. I don't think giveaways should be too complicated, so all you have to do to enter is;

What a beautiful apron. I love the fabric. It reminds me of the long ago fabrics of Laura Ashley. My favorite summer meal is what my mother often fixed: A pot layered with green beans, new potatoes, summer squash and then corn all cooked together and served with cornbread. Sweetened iced tea, of course. I grew up in the south!

ReplyDeleteMy favorite summer dish is marinated tomatoes, tossed with lots of other vegetables and pasta. I think we've had this almost every week all summer long.

How sweet of you Mary and how generous. I love Kath Kidston anything. Her Lemon and Geranium soap is my favourite soap ever. My favourite summer meal is fried bologna sandwiches, served with buckets of ice cold lemonade, preferably eaten on a veranda overlooking Lake Erie. Unfortunately I am a long way from both those things . . . bologna and Lake Erie! The lemonade I can get! xxoo
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful apron! I always wear an apron - I have two favorite striped ones. My sister-in-law gave me a frilly one for Christmas, which I just can't bring myself to wear, but your 'give away' looks perfect! I wonder - do most home cooks still wear aprons? I think in years past, they all did.

I am absolutely obsessed with aprons right now. Not sure why...perhaps they are just making them so much cuter than they used to. My favorite summer dish would have to be a grilled chicken spinach salad tossed with strawberries and feta. It's light and fresh and I love it with a glass of white wine. I become a follower the first time I visited your lovely blog. What a beautiful apron! I wear one every day and couldn't get along without it. So far, I've gone ga-ga for Ina Garten's peach and raspberry crisp and her zucchini gratin!

This really is a wonderful giveaway. The apron is lovely and triggers a lot of memories of kitchens and cooks in my past. I think my favorite summer meal is a lobster boil.If that is too pricey I'll settle for shrimp salad on a homemade roll. Have a great day. Blessings...Maryc

A favorite summer dish of mine was one my mom used to make, Dream Salad. It is a perfect blend of summer fruits and light creamy sweetness.
