I'm just loving my cooking classes with Chef Hangout. It's such a great idea, cooking classes via your computer in the comfort of your own kitchen. No long commute required, it's very economical and most importantly, fun. The fun part, I believe is because you're with people who share a love of cooking and interest in food. I've cooked eggs with a lovely chef in Australia, soups with ladies in California and pasta with some groovy girls from Pennsylvania. Last night I taught the two pasta dishes above and I'm happy to say I've enough pasta in the fridge to last the girls all week.
If you're interested, check out the site http://www.chefhangout.com/ there are some incredible chefs and a world of culinary interest. Wouldn't it be fun to cook together!!

What scrummy looking pasta dishes, Mary! I love pine nuts and black olives with pasta too!
ReplyDeleteYour cooking classes with Chef Hangout sound like a lot of fun!
I've just learnt how to do perfect scrambled eggs by reading the book "My Life in France" by Julia Child!
Yesterday, I perfected the art of real American buttermilk pancakes with blueberries thanks to a "The Joy of Cooking" and a youTube link! In that respect, life is so much easier... though are we getting enough exercise?! LOL! Sandra
these orchiette-a very original recipe!

Mary, what a fun idea. I will have to check this out. I love pasta with cauliflower, that is Sicilian soul food. The other dish is a fave, as well. xo
ReplyDeleteLovely yummy pasta, perfect for those Autumn days and great for pasta lovers x
ReplyDeleteI have never heard of chef hangout, but I'm definitely going to check it out as it sounds like a blast. All 3 of these pasta dishes would be a hit in my house. I especially love the looks of the oreccheitte with cauliflower. I'm actually commenting while I'm eating some leftover cauliflower soup, so as you can tell, I love cauliflower. It was 100 degrees here on Monday and Tuesday and today it's 60 degrees and foggy, so I'm bringing on the soup. I'm going to make one of these pasta dishes next week and let my kids decide which one. I will keep you posted on which one they pick!
